Semester 1


  • ILS1AND3 - Interactive Learning Skills and Communication

  • SCI115 - Physics

  • BUS107 - Principles of ICT

  • SCI101SC - Numerical Techniques 1

Semester 2


  • SCI102 - Numerical Techniques 2

  • BUS105 - Business Studies

    You will explore the fundamentals of business, including globalisation; ethics and sustainability; operations, marketing and HR; strategy, leadership and management.
    How will I be assessed? 80% exam, 20% coursework

  • SCI131 - Programming Techniques

  • SCI130 - Research and Referencing

Progression rule to Stage 2

Minimum 50% pass mark in all modules with minimum 85% attendance required across all modules.

*Please note that on successful completion of Year One of BSc (Hons) Computer Science, students will have the option to either remain on this programme or enter Year Two on one of the specialist programmes listed below:
